The Controlled Atmosphere Cone Calorimeter: A Literature Review

چکیده

Abstract Cone calorimeters are widely used to assess heat release parameters and flammability of combustible materials, but their use is limited for applications where the global equivalence ratio (GER) exceeds one, because they can only replicate burning in open conditions. The standardisation controlled atmosphere cone calorimeter (CACC) ISO/TS 5660-5:2020 offers an opportunity investigate potential advantages limitations this apparatus. This paper presents a detailed review existing studies conducted using CACC. aimed at examining importance atmospheric control bench-scale experimental methods research-based development key features In addition, it highlights research yet be carried out optimise CACC as tool fire science. effects various design discussed including method GER control, chimney, chamber, gas inflow rate others. Despite standardisation, concluded that there consensus on optimal variables. A lack has led significantly different testing conditions even researchers same materials have similar objectives. best practice, particularly with regards sampling location motivates need further so improve value data collected, reduce uncertainty reproducibility.

Single-cone obturation technique: a literature review

Introduction: The technique of single-cone obturation is a technique that uses only the master cone. There have been an increase in its use, especially by employing larger cones with larger taper sizes that best match the geometry of rotary nickel-titanium systems (NiTi), not requiring the use of accessory cones, thus reducing the time spent in endodontic obturation. Objective: To review the li...

Cone Calorimeter – a Tool for Measuring Heat Release Rate

The cone calorimeter is considered the most significant bench scale instrument in fire testing. This apparatus has been adopted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 5660-1) for measuring heat release rate (HRR) of a sample. It has been shown that most fuels generate approximately 13.1 MJ of energy per kg of oxygen consumed. Therefore, HRR is based on the fact that the oxyg...

the applications of cone-beam computed tomography in endodontics: a review of literature

by producing undistorted three-dimensional images of the area under examination, cone-beam computed tomography (cbct) systems have met many of the limitations of conventional radiography. these systems produce images with small field of view at low radiation doses with adequate spatial resolution that are suitable for many applications in endodontics from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. t...

Evaluation of Passenger Train Car Materials in the Cone Calorimeter

Recent advances in fire test methods and hazard analysis techniques make it useful to reexamine passenger train fire safety requirements. The use of test methods based on heat release rate (HRR), incorporated with fire modeling and hazard analysis, could permit the assessment of potential hazards under realistic fire conditions. The results of research directed at the evaluation of passenger tr...

INTRALARYNGOTRACHEAL GOITER: A CASE PRESENTATION AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

Thyroid tissue located within the upper airway has received only sparse attention in the English literature. Aberrant benign thyroid masses may present as either an unrelated autopsy finding or with symptoms such as dyspnea, hemoptysis or adult -onset asthma. There is no place for medical management in the therapy of these lesions, although the appropriate surgical procedure is not clearly ...
